Cath Lab Tech Location: Albany, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,601 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty License: Valid state license required Certifications: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required Must-Have: - Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program - Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Call commitment is 1 weeknight and 1 weekend per month Description: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals. They perform diagnostic examinations during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and peripheral vascular study procedures. They collect and record subjective data. The technologist obtains information for establishing a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient. Local candidates from specified ineligible counties are no longer being accepted. The position requires floating to other units if necessary. The interview or selection process will involve key personnel from the organization. Candidates with a pending state license may be considered.
