A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - ICU/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM/n• Every other weekend schedule required/n• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe/n• 1 shift of unit-specific orientation provided/n• Must pass open book exam with 90% score during orientation on Wednesdays/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS/n• Driver's license required at submittal/n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination/n• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility/n• Provide care in 33-bed ICU with average daily census of 16 patients/n• Maintain 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratios for adults/n• Care for patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress/n• Required to titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications/n• Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips using GE monitoring system/n• Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed maintaining typical unit ratios (1:4 or 1:5)/n• Use EPIC charting system/n• If placed on call and called back, must arrive within 30 minutes/n• Work with respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilators/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 33-bed intensive care unit providing Level 2 trauma services in an acute care setting.
