It is part of Saks Global's portfolio of world-class luxury retailers and real estate assets.YOU WILL BE:The Restaurant Server serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Serves assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious mannerUtilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu itemsLeverages knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service proceduresInteracts graciously with the public and handles multiple duties at the same timeParticipates in daily pre-shift meetingAdheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintains knowledge of the POS systemExecutes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisorFulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstationMaintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to:Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoesClean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risksExercises integrity with schedulingPunches in before and out after every scheduled shiftFollows established procedure for schedule and shift changesTakes appropriate lunch breaks when applicable, punching accordinglyCoordinates holiday, vacation, and any time off with management while considering the needs of the restaurantWHAT YOU WILL BRING:High School diploma or GED preferredExperience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelinesAbility to work autonomouslyMotivated and results-drivenThorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings (e.g., china, glass, flatware), food, and beverage as indicated by the kitchen ticket and the guidebookThorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminologyAbility to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same timeExceptional customer service and problem-solving skills"Win together" mentalityRole requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 poundsAssociates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidaysYOUR LIFE AND CAREER AT NEIMAN MARCUS:Opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment at a company experiencing growth and transformationExposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities across the largest multi-brand luxury retailer from retail to distribution, to digital or corporateComprehensive benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental)An amazing employee discountSALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:The hourly rate for this position is between $22.03 - $33.05 per hour.
