Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, plant systems, and facilities to support safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting production performance, and promoting a strong safety culture within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comply with all company safety policies and actively promote a zero-injury safety culture
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on production equipment and plant systems
Execute preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
Diagnose and address equipment and process failures that impact production and quality
Communicate maintenance issues and priorities with shift supervisors and operational teams
Generate, assign, and close work orders using SAP
Conduct daily maintenance huddles and assign work orders to maintenance technicians
Monitor workmanship quality and provide feedback and peer coaching as needed
Support resolution of quality issues related to molds, stones, and production equipment
Maintain housekeeping standards and a clean, organized work environment
Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures and documentation requirements
Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and scheduling flexibility
Perform other duties as assigned to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong teamwork, organizational, and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work independently with sound judgment
Basic math and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard work processes
Ability to operate a computer and work in an SAP environment
Ability to hear audible alarms and distinguish basic colors
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Technical training or certification in a relevant trade preferred
12 years of maintenance or manufacturing-related experience
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts)
Ability to lift, move, or transport up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, twist, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements
Ability to work in temperature extremes and high-noise environments (>85 dB)
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
