Electronics Maintenance Technician

Howmet Fastening Systems is currently seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician for our facility located in Carson, CA. We are the number one provider of aerospace fastening systems globally and a market leader in commercial transportation fasteners. Primary PurposeThe primary function of this position is to ensure the optimal operation of our machinery and equipment through maintenance, repairs, adjustments, and modifications, both on a scheduled basis and as needed during emergencies. Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize a strong skill set in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting to maintain and repair production machinery. Connect power supply wires and ensure proper circuitry among machines. Diagnose issues with electrical apparatus, replacing damaged components as necessary. Test malfunctioning machinery and collaborate with team members to identify problems. Replace faulty electrical components, including relays, switches, motors, and sensors. Plan and install electrical wiring, conduits, and devices as required for manufacturing equipment. Adhere to safety regulations and plant policies meticulously. Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs on production equipment. Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform necessary maintenance and service tasks. Utilize a range of tools and meters to detect faults and ensure effective operations. Report any unusual situations or defects to the appropriate supervision. Perform any other related duties as assigned. QualificationsBasic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and repairing production or manufacturing equipment Legal authorization to work in the United States is required Access to export-controlled items, thus eligibility must be verified Preferred Knowledge & Skills3+ years of diagnosing and repairing electrical systems for production equipment Experience maintaining CNC machines and other manufacturing machinery. Familiarity with Davenport, Traub, Sasspi, and/or Waterbury machines is a plus. Experience with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.). Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. Detail-oriented approach with a capacity to follow both oral and written instructions. Knowledge of commercial building codes. Additional RequirementsMust be able to work onsite in Carson, California Available to work on the 1st shift (4 AM - 2 PM) and be flexible for overtime and weekends. Able to lift 15-30 lbs. unassisted and perform physical tasks as required.
