Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports continuous operations by responding to equipment breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with installations and improvements to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production2nd Shift (exact hours may vary by operation)Full-time positionUp to $39 Hourly Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to equipment breakdowns and production issues in a timely mannerDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures and implement corrective actionsPerform routine preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacementsDocument all maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage accurately in a CMMS systemSupport production with equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeoversAssist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and line improvementsTroubleshoot and repair food processing and packaging equipment such as conveyors, washers, dryers, cutters, baggers, sealers, sorters, and case packersRead and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and standard operating proceduresWork with PLC-controlled equipment by identifying faults, alarms, and sensor issues; escalate programming needs as requiredMaintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, and valvesFollow all safety, food safety, and plant operational standards at all timesCollaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performanceQualifications Experience & EducationMinimum 2+ years of maintenance experience in food processing, agriculture, or manufacturingVocational or trade school training preferred, or equivalent hands-on experienceTechnical SkillsStrong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilitiesExperience working with production and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environmentAbility to use CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and documentationBasic understanding of PLC-controlled systems (fault recognition and troubleshooting support)Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
