Senior Technician

SUMMARY Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic component assembly, integration, and repair relating to Company-manufactured mobile towers, masts, and trailers, as well as shelters, control cabinets, and generators completely by working on bench tops or floor by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts. Operates hand drills, drill presses, hand grinders, band saw, air tools and cranes to assist in assembly operation. Installs parts such as mounts, brackets, control cables, motors, electrical and mechanical components, and other accessory items and works them to assure free movement. Responsible for assembling electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and/or pneumatic component systems into finished product. Ability to troubleshoot issues with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Conducts final acceptance tests of the complete product. Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to speak fluent English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to read and use a tape measure. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
