Manufacturing Engineer

The RoleOMERIN USA is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our technical team in Meriden. This is a critical role reporting to the Technical Director, focused on the direct improvement of our production environment. You will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical integrity of our processes, from designing custom tooling to ensuring our machinery meets the rigorous standards required for high-performance cable manufacturing.Key Technical ResponsibilitiesTooling & Design: Use SolidWorks/AutoCAD to design, modify, and implement mechanical and electrical components, tooling, and fixtures.Prototyping: Directly utilize 3D printing technology to produce the jigs and prototypes needed to keep production moving efficiently.Process Performance: Troubleshoot and improve machine performance and physical workflows to maximize the footprint of our Meriden facility.Systems & Data: Maintain the IT systems and software that track our production data and connected machinery.Compliance: Act as a technical lead for UL, CSA, and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring all equipment and processes stay within regulatory requirements.Project Execution: Lead capital projects, including equipment installation and factory layout optimization.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.Technical Proficiency: High level of competence in SolidWorks and a strong grasp of industrial electricity and mechanics.Hands-on Approach: This role requires a presence on the shop floor to solve problems in real-time alongside production and quality teams.Education: Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent technical experience.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with regulated manufacturing (UL/CSA) is highly preferred.
