Manufacturing Engineer - Entry Level

Job DescriptionA manufacturing company has an opportunity available for an Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer who will design, implement, develop and/or coordinate the development of manufacturing processes which meet all customer specifications, on-time and within budget. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Job Responsibilities:Identify, create, and apply manufacturing best practices and standards to tooling and process designPrepare design layouts of tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enable parts to be machined properly and efficientlyPrepare formal drawings of tooling, jigs, and fixtures depicting component parts, machine tools, dimensions, and assuring manufacturabilityAssist with troubleshooting to alleviate tooling and fixture problemsCoordinate with Purchasing for the procurement of materials for the tooling, jigs, and fixturesAct as a vital resource for technical questions related to manufacturing and quality processesContinually seek new manufacturing technology and processing methods that will improve the productivity, cost, quality, and agility of manufacturingServe, when required, as the manufacturing team leader on cross-functional projectsDevelop methods and systems enabling robust quality in manufacturing processesJob RequirementsJob Qualifications:Must have at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering position or equivalent with experience working at a metal fabrication companyMust have experience leading mid to large size manufacturing projects with tooling and jig tool skillsMust have experience working at a metal fabrication company with a track record of successfully improving manufacturing process and reducing manufacturing costsMust be skilled in the use of CAD software, part development, strip layout, and utilize best practices in tooling and process design; SolidWorks experience is preferredMust have experience loading BOM's and Routings into an ERP systemOnly candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.Area Temps still believes that the best way to serve both our employees and our customers is through personal service.
