Production & Machine Operations Assembler ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Positions parts in specified relationship to each other. Bolts, screws, clips, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together. Works at bench as member of assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and passing unit to another worker. Works at different workstations as production needs require or shifts from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor. Is able to fit, align, calibrate and adjust parts and mechanical units to meet specifications and requirements. Is capable of choosing procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet special needs. Work is typically only spot checked. Able to read and follow blueprints. Able to use measuring tool and inspect finished product. Works under minimum supervision. Follows safety rules and regulations.
