Senior Voice Engineer (Contract-to-Hire) – Knoxville, TNPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Voice Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based in Knoxville, TN. This position is ideal for a strong hands-on engineer who can contribute immediately to a large-scale voice and collaboration initiative, with a focus on Cisco technologies and Webex Calling (UCaaS).The right candidate will be a do-er first—someone who can design, configure, troubleshoot, and deploy—while also providing practical guidance and input to both peers and leadership based on real-world experience.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On EngineeringDesign, configure, and support enterprise voice environments using Cisco collaboration technologiesDeploy and optimize Webex Calling and UCaaS solutionsWork within hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud), including integrations and migrationsTroubleshoot complex voice issues across SIP, dial plans, call routing, and endpointsSupport ongoing operations, incident resolution, and performance tuningProject ContributionActively contribute to moving project deliverables forward on defined timelinesCollaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to execute against project goalsIdentify issues, gaps, or risks and propose practical solutionsAdvisory & Team SupportShare best practices and provide informal guidance to team members as neededOffer input to leadership on design decisions, trade-offs, and improvementsHelp document configurations, standards, and repeatable processesRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience as a Voice Engineer in an enterprise environmentDeep expertise in Cisco collaboration technologies (CUCM, Unity, CUBE, SIP, etc.)Strong experience with Webex Calling / UCaaS platformsSolid understanding of Webex best practices and deployment modelsProven troubleshooting and integration experience across complex voice environmentsAbility to work independently and take ownership of technical tasksPreferred CertificationsCCNP CollaborationCisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration SaaSCisco Webex Calling SpecialistWhat We’re Looking ForStrong hands-on engineer who enjoys building and solving problemsComfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environmentAble to communicate clearly and offer informed technical recommendationsTeam-oriented, with a willingness to share knowledge without formal leadership responsibility
