Knoxville, TN | Senior Network Engineer | Full-time We are actively recruiting a Senior Network Engineer for our client in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a full-time opportunity that will require an on-campus presence and work in Knoxville. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level networking professional to lead enterprise wired and wireless network initiatives and influence network architecture in a complex production environment. Must have strong experience with LAN/WAN networking, routing protocols (including BGP), and enterprise network infrastructure. Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.Key ResponsibilitiesLead wired and wireless network projects from design through deploymentDesign, deploy, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networksResearch and implement new networking technologies and improvementsCoordinate with internal teams and vendors on major upgrades and outagesMonitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issuesMaintain accurate network documentation and configurationsProvide senior-level technical guidance and on-call support as requiredRequired QualificationsAssociate degree6+ years of experience in network administration or network engineeringStrong knowledge of WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, Layer 2/3, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi, and firewallsAdvanced understanding of VPN technologies and encryptionHands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and security devicesAbility to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical usersPreferred QualificationsBachelor s degreeCertifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PMP, AZ-900, AZ-700, CWNA, or similarExperience with large-scale campus networks, hybrid cloud, EVPN/VXLAN, or higher education environmentsEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
