Work on the development of diagnostics for autonomous vehicle software, ensuring robust fault detection, reactions, and serviceability.Based on diagnostic system requirements including alerts, fail-operational responses, and service functions, implement UDS DID, IO control and routine service functions.Design and implement new diagnostics for sensors and actuators connected to the ECU, including identifying the feasibility of detection based on specific sensor/actuator characteristics and ECU limitations.Collaborate with system, software, hardware, and test engineers to define, implement, and validate diagnostic requirements.Contribute to all phases of the software development cycle including prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation Qualifications● Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent experience● Strong embedded C++ 17 programming experience, plus python programming experience.● 3+ years of experience developing real-time embedded software for distributed electro-mechanical systems● Experience implementing UDS services, DIDs, IO control and routines.● Strong understanding of automotive diagnostic standards, including ISO 14229.● Experience with embedded micro-controllers and/or microprocessors (ARM, PowerPC)● Understanding of various sensors and actuators● Experience with embedded systems constraints (memory, real-time requirements)● Experience with CAN, LIN analysis, and debugging tools (PCAN, CANalyzer, CANape, etc.)
