The RN will provide care for patients undergoing same-day procedures, including pre-operative preparation, Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery, and discharge planning.This role focuses on safe perioperative care, patient monitoring, and post-procedure recovery for patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform pre-operative patient assessments and educationPrepare patients for surgery including medication administration and documentation reviewMonitor patients in Phase I and Phase II PACU recoveryAssess and manage pain, sedation levels, and vital signsAdminister and monitor procedural sedation and reversal agentsProvide post-operative care and discharge instructionsConduct follow-up phone calls and medication reconciliationDocument patient care using electronic medical recordsClinical SkillsPre-operative and post-operative patient carePhase I and Phase II PACU recoveryProcedural sedation monitoringPain management and patient monitoringMedication administration including opioid analgesicsInterpretation of lab values and patient assessmentsPre-operative patient education and discharge planningSurgical Case ExposureCandidates may assist with patients undergoing procedures such as:Orthopedic surgeriesENT procedures (including tonsillectomy)General and laparoscopic surgeriesGynecologic proceduresOphthalmology procedures (including cataract extraction)Urology procedures (including TURP)Plastic and vascular surgeriesPatient & Unit DetailsPatient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and GeriatricsDaily Census: Approximately 10 patientsUnit Setup: 4 procedure roomsCases: Same-day outpatient surgeries (patients discharge home)About United Health Care Staffing, Inc."Better Pay" and "Zero Headaches" and Ready to love your scrubs again?At United Health Care Staffing, we don't just fill shifts; we fulfill bucket lists.
