The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, redesigning, and continuously improving the HR structure, systems, and policies to ensure they align with the organization's mission and goals. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to the executive team, championing core values, and leveraging data to inform decision-making. The VP will also be tasked with building and leading a high-performing HR team, overseeing talent recruitment and retention, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and growth. The ideal candidate for the VP of HR position at the company will have a proven track record in building HR infrastructure, deep experience in talent acquisition, performance development, and employee engagement. They should be adept at managing a budget to support organizational growth and have a strong understanding of NYC compliance requirements. The role requires a leader who can effectively manage change, build trust with employees at all levels, and unify diverse teams. Experience with union contracts and labor relations is essential, as is the ability to design and implement best-in-class HR practices.
