Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Saint Joseph, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,894 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Saint Joseph, Michigan, 49085! Job Title: RN Med-Surg Profession: Nursing Specialty: Agency Staff RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 2x3 nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med-Surg units, with a focus on surgical patients such as nephrectomy, colectomy, amputation, ostomy, and drains. License: Registered Nurse (RN) - State License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Must-Have: - Experience with negative pressure dressings, pain pumps, TPN, and Central Lines preferred. - Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program. - Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. - Time management and organizational skills. - Self-directed with the ability to make quality, independent decisions. - Analytical and strong problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and listen to others. - Competency in the use of various computer hardware and software systems. Description: Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance. Strives for optimal patient outcomes. Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care. Communicates and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Acts as a patient/family advocate. Performs point of care testing as required. Demonstrates a high standard of moral, ethical, and culturally sensitive behavior. Formulates decisions and actions based on ethical principles. Advocates for privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient and staff data. Assesses the overall needs of the patient and family. Identifies expected outcomes/goals and develops individualized plans of care. Evaluates patient and family educational needs. Initiates discharge planning at time of patient contact. Ensures that required documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner. Assumes an autonomous leadership role and delegates appropriately to unlicensed personnel. Engages in professional activities and seeks to continually advance knowledge and competence. Actively participates in quality improvement activities related to patient care. Participates in safety initiatives and completes safety-related competencies and requirements on time.
