The division ensures that partnerships are strategic, compliant, and aligned with MAP’s program capacity—creating sustainable pathways for expansion and impact.Role OverviewWe are seeking a School Partnerships Manager to lead the development and management of relationships with NYC schools and education stakeholders.This role is responsible for expanding MAP’s school partnerships while ensuring that every partnership isOperationally feasibleProgrammatically alignedFully compliant with DOE and organizational requirementsThis is a strategic role that balances growth with readiness—ensuring MAP expands responsibly and sustainably.Key ResponsibilitiesPartnership Development & Relationship ManagementIdentify and build relationships with NYC schools, administrators, and key stakeholdersServe as the primary point of contact for school partnersMaintain strong, consistent communication with partner schoolsStrategic Expansion & AlignmentEvaluate new partnership opportunities based on program capacity and readinessEnsure alignment between school needs and MAP’s program modelSupport thoughtful, phased expansion across school sitesCompliance & Institutional CoordinationEnsure all partnerships align with DOE requirements and organizational compliance standardsWork closely with PromiseShield to maintain adherence to data privacy, safety, and external provider requirementsSupport documentation and approval processes for school partnershipsProgram Capacity IntegrationCoordinate with Program Leadership to assess staffing, mentor availability, and operational readinessEnsure new partnerships do not exceed program capacityAlign site expansion with available resources and infrastructureCross-Team CollaborationPartner with Government Relations and Advocacy teams on broader education engagementCollaborate with Data & Impact team to support reporting and partnership outcomesMaintain timely, professional responsiveness via Google WorkspaceQualificationsRequiredStrong relationship-building and communication skillsExperience working with schools, education systems, or community organizationsAbility to balance growth with operational and compliance considerationsStrong organizational and strategic thinking skillsAlignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered valuesPreferredExperience working with NYC DOE or public school systemsFamiliarity with school partnership development or program expansionUnderstanding of compliance requirements for school-based programmingExperience in nonprofit or education program managementCommitmentVolunteer roleApproximately 5–10 hours per weekMinimum 6-month commitment preferredHybrid / remote with NYC-based engagement as neededWhat You’ll GainExperience leading strategic partnerships in education systemsOpportunity to support responsible program expansion across NYCCollaboration with leadership, policy, and program teamsProfessional references and letters of recommendationA meaningful role connecting schools with impactful, student-centered programmingHow To ApplyInterested candidates must apply directly through Idealist and submitResume (required)Cover letter (required) describing relevant experience in partnerships, education, or community engagement and interest in MAP’s missionThis role doesn’t just open doors—it ensures we’re ready to walk through them.Help build partnerships that are not only possible—but sustainable, aligned, and impactful.Thank you for your interest in volunteering with our organization.
