The Senior Designer is the in-house Product Specialist who will work with sales and other Designers to advise on application solutions, specification and installation guidelines to ensure order development is accurate and priced correctly.Duties And ResponsibilitiesSpace planning and any necessary fit plansCoordinate all phases of the design process with the salesperson and customerWork with customers to develop final approved plansCreate and deliver client presentationsDevelopment tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specificationsReviews site; conducts field measurements as neededCode and regulation compliancePrepare installation drawingsManages changes and revisionsUploads current working version of plan with dimensions to PlanGrid for site surveyorCreate fabric / finish boards upon requestMaintains detailed and extensive project documentation, including records of all key decisions, phone conversations, approvals & sign offs and notes from all project meetings.Communicates regularly with PM and Director on project status, issues & concerns in regards to overall design or schedule.Product inventories as neededAncillary product researchAssist with the creation of final proposalsMentor new designers and provide guidance to the entire design groupProvide final spec checks and sign off’s of specifications created by designersWork with management and other team leaders in the organization to evaluate design processes and make sure there is consistency between all OW OfficesManages design requests and distribution to the design teamPrompt, reliable and regular attendanceEducation And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar or equivalent experience5+ year of experience in a similar role3-5 years of CET experienceExcellent Teknion product knowledgeExcellent interpersonal and communication skills in English both written and verbalMS Office Environment proficientProficient in Sketch up, AutoCAD, AdobeUnderstands the importance of deadlines and the ability to meet them.Willingness to take the initiative on projects and issues that arise.Maintains a positive attitude and motivates others to do the samePhysical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
