For us all good design is sustainable.The OpportunitySenior Architectural Designer for Perkins Eastman Architects DPC to work at our Philadelphia, PA location. May telecommute up to two days per week.Primary Responsibilities Creates project designs and plans for all phases of projects and coordinates building design consultants while monitoring drawings. Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects. Coordinates with Director and Department Head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies. Coordinates all trades and agencies related to building design while monitoring drawings. Manages projects and leads a team in development of the aesthetic design and the preparation of architectural design including drawings and specifications. Collaborates with or serves as the Project Designer for the design of the project. Develops a working process with the team that ensures that the design intent of a project is maintained for the duration of the project. Coordinates the work of design consultants, and serves as liaison with Project Management, other Architects and consultants. Meets with client and present design presentations. Coordinate with relevant regulatory/governmental authorities to achieve entitlement approvals related to zoning and building. Mentors junior staff. Required Qualifications Must have Masters of Architecture or related field, 6 years relevant architectural design experience, and required skills. In the alternative, must have Bachelor’s of Architecture or related field, 8 years relevant architectural design experience, and required skills. Required skills include: (3 years experience) in design and documentation of hospitality, senior living, gaming; working on adaptive reuse and historical renovation projects, including existing building survey and documentation; construction administration project phase, including submittal review, RFI investigation and response, and site observation; working with building and practice area codes, including IBC, NFPA 101, ANSI, ADA, FHA and BOMA guidelines; coordinating with relevant regulatory/governmental authorities to achieve entitlement approvals related to zoning and building; and (2 year experience) in leading the design of projects; AutoCAD; Revit; Autodesk Construction Cloud; Microsoft Office Suite; Newforma Project Center; Affinity Design software; Sketch-up; Lumion; Enscape; In-design; Illustrator; and Bluebeam. Must obtain LEED, EDAC or WELL accreditation post-hire. Little local travel to client sites in Pennsylvania and New Jersey may be involved. Applicants may be required to submit a portfolio.
