1st/2nd Shift CNC Laser Cutting Operator Starting At $17.50/hr. (Or Higher) Depending On Experience Anchor Fabrication has immediate openings for a highly motivated Laser Operator's in our Laser Department.Position Summary: The Laser Operator's role is to cut various metal stock on a CNC Laser, meeting or exceeding customer specs and productivity requirements by reading blueprints and ensuring correct machine settings. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers' needs are consistently met, promoting our company's continued strong national growth.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneInternal Relationships: All DepartmentsExternal Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customersTraits Displayed:Ability to exude high energy, solution-based thinking, while focusing great attention to detail and maintaining a service-oriented disposition.Contribute to a work environment that promotes pride in being part of a winning team and encourages personal and professional growth and success.Assure productivity and high-quality standards are constant so that the company and employees collectively enjoy optimum financial returns, job security, personal career growth and excellent service to customers.Ability to provide exemplary and consistent customer satisfaction, with a strong capacity for building relationships.Primary Responsibilities:Operate a TruLaser(fiber/Co2) in a proficient manner.Plan sequence of operations and review blueprints to ensure precisionEstablish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal pointMake proper setups for cutting operationsSet up, maintain and operate laserPay attention to machine at all times to ensure it is working properlyAccurately project completion of work orders at work centerPerform prescribed maintenance as requiredComplete assignments on-time and correctlyContinually maintain a clean working environmentDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisorPerform other related operations as required or directed. May work at different workstations as production needs require.Minimum Requirements:Minimum 6mo to 1 yr. work experience with laser equipmentGood manual dexterity requiredMust be able to read and interpret drawings, routers, use simple/basic mathMust be able to read and understand blueprintsMust be able to read and understand handheld measuring devicesMust be able to work with minimal supervisionPrevious experience working in industrial manufacturing industry preferred.Environment/Physical Requirements with or without Accommodation:Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.All qualified applicants will receive considerations for employment without regard to race, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
