SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Innovation and Engineering, the Technical Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for the successful execution of COPV (Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessel) programs supporting aerospace customers. The Program Manager serves as the single point of contact and accountability for assigned programs and Statements of Work (SOW), ensuring commitments related to scope, schedule, communication, and delivery are met. This role requires a working technical understanding of COPV programs and includes hands-on support of quality execution on the manufacturing floor as needed to protect delivery (e.g., assisting with dispositioning, documentation, and issue resolution) while maintaining primary focus on program management, planning, reporting, and customer engagement.Essential Functions Of The JobProgram Management and AccountabilityServe as the Designated Representative and primary customer interface for assigned COPV programsOwn execution of contractual scope in accordance with SOW and purchase order requirementsActively manage program activities, deliverables, issues, and dependenciesEstablish clear communication, escalation, and reporting methodsProgram Planning and Schedule ManagementDevelop and maintain integrated program schedules using industry-standard tools such as Microsoft ProjectDefine major milestones, high-level tasks, and critical path activitiesProvide schedule updates to support program execution and customer visibilityIdentify schedule risks and coordinate mitigation or recovery actionsProgram Reporting and Regular MeetingsEstablish routine internal and customer-facing program meetingsLead meetings focused on status, risks, issues, and required decisionsTrack action items and ensure timely closureCross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliersSupport alignment between execution activities and program commitmentsFacilitate resolution of issues impacting cost, schedule, or deliveryHands-On Quality SupportProvide hands-on, on-the-floor support to the Quality Engineer and production teams to ensure timely execution of program deliverablesAssist with nonconformance identification, containment, and documentationParticipate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and help coordinate dispositions, rework/repair planning inputs, and customer communication as required by the SOWHelp drive closure of corrective actions by coordinating cross-functional owners and ensuring actions, evidence, and due dates are tracked to completionRisk, Issue, and Change Management Identify, track, and communicate program risks and issuesMaintain issue and action logs with clear ownershipEscalate unresolved issues as requiredJob Skills And RequirementsStrong program management and organizational skillsExperience serving as a single point of accountability for customer-facing programsAbility to manage schedules, risks, and cross-functional dependenciesWorking knowledge of aerospace hardware programs, preferably COPVs or similar componentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead cross-functional teams without direct authorityUnderstanding of ISO 9001 and AS standards and their documentation/control requirementsComfortable working on the production floor and supporting hands-on quality execution (e.g., NCRs, containment, MRB support, documentation verification) when required to protect schedule and deliveryWorking familiarity with core quality tools and documentation practices (e.g., basic root cause, corrective actions, evidence capture, traceability, and controlled records) in an aerospace manufacturing environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentEducation And Training RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Management, or related field (required)Five (5) or more years of experience in program or project management roles supporting technical or aerospace programsPMP designation is plus Experience supporting hardware development or production programs preferredFamiliarity with formal project management tools and customer reporting expectationsFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and AS standards related to process and documentation complianceCompensation: $105,000 to $130,000 Annually Depending Upon ExperienceBENEFITS:Medical, Vision, Dental *Start on the 1st day of the following month after being hired*401k with Company match of up to 6%!Life Insurance and Employee Assistance ProgramCompany Paid HolidaysVacation AccrualWe are committed to a safe, drug-free work environment and pre-employment drug screening, physical and background checks are required prior to starting.
