Job DescriptionKettering Health is actively recruiting a talented and motivated thoracic surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess stellar surgical dexterity, exceptional interpersonal skills and maturity, a robust set of clinical and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, collegial, and have a willingness to learn.Kettering Healths cardiothoracic surgery group is a leading practice in Dayton, Ohio. Our program conducts approximately 600 open heart surgeries annually. Our group primarily focuses on cardiac and thoracic surgeries with the intention of expanding. We also offer specialized programs, including TAVR, MitraClip, and ECMO. Job Requirements:6-year integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency or General Surgery residency followed by a 23-year cardiothoracic surgery residencyBoard Certified/Board Eligible; accepting practicing physicians and new graduatesH1B visa sponsorship available (No J1 visa sponsorships)Description:Locations: Kettering Health Main Campus and Kettering Health Dayton HospitalHospital employed position100% ThoracicCall is shared with 4 other CT surgeons who will cover cardiac surgery emergencies.Da Vinci Xi robot and Ion robotAPP support in clinic, surgery, and roundingOR/ClinicOR 4 days; Clinic 1 dayClinic is located in the hospital.Critical Care support 24/7Kettering Health:9 Hospitals120 Outpatient locations throughout southwestern Ohio (Providing a large referral base.)70+ Primary Care offices which offer a large referral baseCommunity:Conveniently located within 60-minutes of Columbus or Cincinnati and 2-hours from Indianapolis.
