The Internal Audit Manager will join Indeed's Internal Audit team. They will play a key role in providing autonomous and impartial assurance over the company's financial and operational control environment. We are looking for an experienced financial auditor with proven technical accounting and compliance expertise who can thrive in a dynamic, high-growth technology company. The ideal candidate will be comfortable assessing financial processes and controls, evaluating risks across business operations. They will use data-driven approaches to deliver meaningful insights that improve compliance, resilience, and business performance. Responsibilities Drive the design, execution, and reporting of risk-based internal audit plans focused on operational and financial risks, leveraging data analytics to enhance audit efficiency and depth. Define audit scope and goals, applying risk assessment techniques and incorporating data analytics to direct focus areas and testing strategies. Perform walkthroughs, risk assessments, and develop audit programs to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls. Manage end-to-end reviews of key business processes to identify risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities, leveraging data analytics to enhance efficiency and insights. Plan and execute auditsincluding risk assessments, testing, documentation, and reportingin alignment with audit methodology and professional standards. Develop and communicate actionable, data-driven recommendations, and track remediation efforts through validation testing and evidence-based assessments. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure coordinated audit coverage while staying current on accounting, compliance, and industry developments to identify emerging risks. Skills/Competencies Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, a related field or equivalent relevant experience. 7+ years of financial or operational audit experience at a public accounting firm and/or internal audit function of a public company. Professional certification (CPA, CIA, or equivalent) or on track to complete a relevant certification. Solid knowledge of SOX requirements, internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), and audit methodology. Exceptional knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and financial processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, payroll, etc.). Proven project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, extract meaningful insights from complex data, and drive continuous improvement. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Salary Range Transparency US Remote 72,000 - 108,000 USD per year The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
