SPECIAL EDUCATION - RESOURCE TEACHER
Supervisor: Principal / Director & Assistant Director of Special Education Salary: Per Collective Bargaining Agreement, 2024-2028 Contract Extension (with salary schedule) & Benefits Work Year: 2026-2027; first day of school - August 17, 2026 Summary: Under the general supervision of the Principal and Director of Special Education, plan for and implement special education services for students who have been found eligible. Qualifications / ExperienceISBE PEL with LBSI endorsement, requiredAdditional endorsements, preferredExperience providing modifications to increase student access to grade-level curriculumExpertise in a variety of intervention tools and specially designed instruction methodsAn interest and/or experience working with students with varying levels/types of disabilities.Expertise in conducting educational assessments, including CBMs, FBAs, and BIPs, determining eligibility for services, and developing individualized education plans.The ability to work collaboratively with others to optimize student achievement in the least restrictive environment.A willingness to participate in staff development opportunities.A strong commitment to professional excellence and equal access for all students to the greatest extent possible.
