QualificationsJob DescriptionJob Description The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of fire protection designing/engineering experience The ability to produce calculations for engineering systems Excellent organizational and communication skills Undertaking detailed mechanical/plumbing/fire protection engineering design NICET Water-Based System Layout Certification not required, but strongly recommendedResponsibilitiesApplicants should have a working knowledge and experience with: Designing fire sprinkler systems in their entirety, including standpipes, Siamese and FDC connections, valve lay-out and pump set-ups, riser placement, main supply and branch lines, and the use of different sprinkler heads Experience using SprinkCAD and/or AutoSprink (or similar software), HydraCAD, and Calculation Programs Extensive, comprehensive knowledge and use of AutoCAD Design of installation drawings for fire sprinkler systems of commercial and residential projects on Long Island and NYC Complete full scale projects from start to finish with minimal to no-supervision Ensuring service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget Coordination of work with other members of the project team Trade coordination on projectsCompany DescriptionEstablished Fire Sprinkler Company seeking hire for Fire Sprinkler Designer / Engineer with 6+ years experience required.
