We care deeply for our employees, clients, and the communities we serve, always prioritizing well-being and support.Location: 111 Crossways Park Drive West, Woodbury, NY 11797 Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual who can design, draft, and produce technical drawings for fire protection systems—including central station fire alarms, kitchen suppression systems, and sprinkler installations. Ensures all designs comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and industry best practices, supporting project approvals and field implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for fire alarm, suppression, and sprinkler systemsInterpret specifications, NFPA standards (NFPA 13/72/96), and local codesProduce shop drawings, riser diagrams, and system layouts for permits and approvalsCollaborate with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to resolve design challengesUpdate drawings per AHJ feedback and design revisionsMaintain organized CAD files and generation of materials schedulesSupport material take-offs, submittals, and procurement documentationAdditional FunctionsOther duties as assigned.ExperienceExperience with central station monitoring systemsUnderstanding of hydraulic calculations for sprinklersFamiliarity with UL/FM listings and code compliance processesExperience in kitchen suppression systems designQualificationsCAD certification or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (drafting, design, engineering) CAD Proficiency in AutoCAD (with Revit or similar software a plus)Working knowledge of NFPA standards and fire codesStrong technical drawing interpretation abilityExceptional attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication skills; team-oriented mindsetExceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Strong verbal and written communication Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesTeam player with a proactive attitudeWillingness to learn and grow within the field of fire protectionAbility to travel as neededPhysical RequirementsThe job may require moderate physical labor including activities such as lifting equipment, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces.Why Join UsCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic industry.Collaborative and supportive work culture focused on professional growth and development.If you are an accomplished professional with the ability to build relationships, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity with our fire and life safety company.Think you have what it takes to be a Total Fire Protection team member?
