Network Engineer - Hospital experience required

Network Engineer Pay Range: $55/hour to $58/hour We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer II to join our IT infrastructure team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while supporting broader team initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, install, integrate, and validate network hardware and software solutionsDesign, implement, and support network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, and wireless environmentsMonitor system performance and capacity; recommend and implement improvementsTroubleshoot and resolve network issues, including service requests and incident reportsMaintain and test high availability and disaster recovery solutionsParticipate in the evaluation, implementation, and integration of internal and external systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve technical challengesImplement network security hardware and configurations in alignment with organizational standardsProvide on-call support and respond to critical incidents as neededDocument network architecture, configurations, and operational proceduresMentor junior team members and provide guidance on technical issuesQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldEquivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeExperience5+ years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure supportStrong hands-on experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshootingTechnical SkillsExperience with enterprise networking hardware (e.g., Cisco and/or Juniper)Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds or similar)Knowledge of WAN circuits, cable infrastructure, and service provider integrationsUnderstanding of network security principles and high availability architecturesAdditional SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyExperience mentoring or supporting junior team members is a plus
