Apply via Dice today!ProTech is seeking an onsite AWS Engineer for a direct hire position in Memphis, TN.Summary for AWS Engineer:The Cloud Engineer AWS will be skilled in technical infrastructure support, security, configuration, and maintenance of assets hosted at Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform. Perform a variety of solutions configuration and maintenance, system spin-up or spin-down, security configuration, support, and training to ensure end-user efficiency, network performance, cost allocation, and security meet company and user requirements. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.Duties for AWS Engineer:Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS and Google Cloud PlatformSetup AWS cloud environments for storing and processing dataEnsure high availability of our infrastructure and create a state of the art, scalable platformDevelop reporting for these cloud-based environments to meet the security, performance, and monitoring requirementsProvide support and troubleshootingMake recommendations to the team about tools to be used for cloud environments and implement tools that have been approvedHelp to identify and fix bottlenecks in the cloudImplement and rollout management tools for cloud-based servicesDevelop test scenarios for stress testing servicesDevelop infrastructure to dynamically scale servicesPerformance analysis, proactive troubleshooting and capacity planningUpdate process documentation - ensure documentation of entire environment is currentReview environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects, and improving overall performanceCommunicate with peers and managers regarding administration issuesWork with other System Administrators on maintenance and troubleshooting of environmentMaintain accurate inventory of cloud resources Coordinate research, implementation and deployment of security and performance upgrades as assigned by managementCross train other department employees to ensure best support for all usersOther duties as assignedQualifications for AWS Engineer:MUST have at least 5 years of experience in system administration and architecting in AWS and/or Google Cloud PlatformAdvanced Infrastructure support skills, including Server, Storage, Network, and SecurityExcellent communication and organizational skills are requiredAbility to interact effectively with other enterprise colleaguesMust be able to work in a team environment and adapt to changeMust be customer / service focusedKey Competencies for AWS Engineer:Must possess hands on knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud PlatformMust possess knowledge of Windows Server infrastructureMust possess knowledge of Linux Server infrastructureMust possess knowledge of Storage solutionsMust possess knowledge of NetworkingMust possess knowledge of SecurityConsistently follow policies and procedures.Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.Exhibit a positive can do" attitude.Accept responsibility for and execute efficiently to meet deadlines.Recognize when a high sense of urgency is required.Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills are essential.Proficient written and verbal skills.Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.Honest, dependable, respectful of others and carry high ethical standards.Customer focused mindset.Must be a team player.No fields configured
