Associate Data Center Implementation Specialist

Job Description ITCAPS is hiring an Associate Data Center Implementation Specialist for a 12-month onsite contract in Memphis, Tennessee. This role combines data center operations, hands-on server hardware support, Linux troubleshooting, and customer coordination.ResponsibilitiesProvide daily operational support within a production data centerInstall, replace, configure, and troubleshoot server hardwareCoordinate onsite work with field engineers, vendors, and colocation teamsManage service tickets, hardware inventory, parts shipping, and receivingMonitor servers and escalate hardware or system issuesCollect logs and follow vendor-recommended troubleshooting proceduresPerform firmware upgrades, operating system installations, and system updatesSupport GPU and network interface configuration and testingMaintain equipment records, rack elevations, serial numbers, and runbooksConduct system validation and operational readiness testingRespond to urgent hardware and infrastructure issues as neededRequired SkillsHands-on experience repairing or replacing server componentsBasic networking knowledgeExperience using the Linux command lineAbility to read and interpret Linux logsStrong troubleshooting and ticket-management skillsClear written and verbal communicationAbility to lift up to 65 pounds and work safely from a ladderAvailability for occasional after-hours or weekend supportPreferred SkillsPrevious data center or field service engineering experienceRoCE networking knowledgeNVIDIA GPU or NIC experienceExperience supporting high-performance computing environments
