Choir Conductor (starting tier)

Looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to serve in the part-time, once-a-week (or more, if desired) role an starting-tier/entry-level associate conductor. (this is a conducting-only, no admin involved, although it can be added if desired by the individual) Duties of the role include leading rehearsals for a choral ensemble (versus "as needed" like some associate conductor posts), as well as conducting in concert performances. Job training with the company (on-the-job, etc.) to be provided before full leading of an ensemble. Essential role duties include: - Assist in leading choral ensemble in weekly rehearsal and, as ready, conduct in performances - As needed, ensure ensemble progress regarding rehearsals and performances; become familiar with ensemble singers - Work in tandem with staff, as required/necessary - Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to development as a conductor and musician - Other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications: - Have desire and intent for being a conductor - Have a desire to work for the Blueprint organization (versus any organization), and would prefer to be with the organization more than short-term - Have excellent verbal and communication skills, with the ability to teach topics clearly and effectively - Have a working knowledge of the human voice and singing Video clips are welcome, but not required.
