The CMIO will be a physician leader with a strong background in clinical informatics, particularly in the area of Epic systems. This role is pivotal in partnering with clinical and operational leaders to optimize existing systems, guide future digital strategy, and ensure that the needs of the front line are met with practical and effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading digital initiatives in complex healthcare environments, with a specialization in oncology or experience in a cancer center being highly desirable. Key responsibilities include clinician engagement, user-informed system build, and leading programs focused on Epic usability, clinician engagement, and provider well-being.Applicants for the CMIO position at the company should be board-certified or board-eligible in clinical informatics, with Epic builder certification. A medical degree with a current or eligible New York State medical license is required. The role demands a minimum of 5 years' of information systems experience, particularly in a large and complex healthcare setting. The successful candidate will be an inclusive and persuasive leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of working as part of a high-performing team and influencing senior leadership.
