Registered Nurse - Burn Unit

NOTE: We are not considering May or summer new grad RNs at this time.Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Burn Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.We are Minnesota's first verified Burn Center and have 18 beds; 8 are designated as critical care and 10 as non-critical. The Burn Center offers critical care and burn management to both adults & pediatric patients with thermal, electrical, radiation and chemical injuries Patients with frostbite, limb reattachments, necrotizing soft tissue infections, and other acute dermatological conditions are also cared for on this unit. The nursing staff is trained to operate all critical care and hemodynamic monitor equipment.We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. We are proud of the care we give each and every patient.Work Schedule: 0.70 Nights. 8 hour shifts during the week; 12 hour shifts every 3rd weekend.Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experienceInternal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in NursingLicensed as a registered nurse by the State of MinnesotaCPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providersMust have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgroundsPreferred Qualifications:* BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire* One year of acute care RN experience is preferredBenefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, fertility coverage and tuition reimbursement.
