Mechanical Pre- Construction Leader

Brock11 is partnering with a leading, full-service construction and facility solutions provider headquartered in Northwest Ohio to identify a Mechanical Preconstruction Leader for its North Ridgeville operations.This well-established organization has been delivering comprehensive construction, design-build, energy, and facility maintenance solutions since the mid-1950s. Operating through a unified team of specialized companies, they serve as a single-source partner for clients across commercial and industrial markets—supporting projects from site selection and financing through construction, renovation, and long-term facility management.Position OverviewThe Mechanical Preconstruction Leader is responsible for leading all mechanical estimating and planning activities during the preconstruction phase of commercial and industrial projects. This role ensures accurate budgeting, thorough constructability reviews, and strategic value engineering across process piping, HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical systems.The ideal candidate is both technically strong and collaborative, with the ability to guide preconstruction efforts that result in cost-effective, high-quality project outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed mechanical estimates and budgets for commercial and industrial projects.Review mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and constructability.Collaborate with design teams, owners, and trade partners to optimize scope, cost, and schedule.Lead value engineering initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Conduct risk assessments and contribute to procurement strategies.Maintain preconstruction schedules and ensure timely delivery of mechanical estimates.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.Qualifications & SkillsStrong knowledge of process piping, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.Experience with BIM and virtual design tools.Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification.Design-build or integrated project delivery experience preferred.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with Accubid estimating software is a plus.Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in mechanical estimating or preconstruction.This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected, growth-oriented organization known for delivering integrated construction and facility solutions with a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term client partnerships.
