Position Summary We are currently seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to oversee and perform a wide range of construction tasks on public works and commercial projects. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded tradesperson with strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform and lead work in the following trades: Carpentry and framing Finish carpentry and cabinetry installation Tile installation Plumbing Electrical Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications Ensure work is completed in compliance with local, state, and federal codes Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site Adhere to all company safety policies and public works requirements Layout Material take off for projects Maintaining budgets Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience as a carpenter, with lead experience Demonstrated proficiency in multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, tile, framing, cabinetry) Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards Ability to pass a background check if required for public works projects Clean driving record (required to occupy company truck) Required Certifications & Eligibility (U.S.) Legal authorization to work in the United States (I-9 compliant) Valid U.S. driver’s license OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (OSHA 30 preferred) CPR/First Aid Certification Ability to comply with prevailing wage and public works requirements Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Company truck provided Company gas card provided Steady work with long-term project stability Opportunities for advancement within a growing company Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $25 - $30 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
