Property Operations Superintendent

The Property Operations Superintendent will support property operations by performing routine maintenance and inspections, coordinating vendors and contractors, overseeing event set-up and tear-down, and identifying and addressing property issues as they arise. The Property Operations Superintendent also acts as an ambassador for Port KC in the field, helping ensure properties are safe, functional, and welcoming.Applicants are strongly encouraged to visit our website to learn more about the work we do at Port KC and our partners.Key ResponsibilitiesServes as the on-site representative responsible for the day-to-day operation and condition of assigned Port KC propertiesSupervises event set up and tear down at Port KC properties with vendors and organizersCoordinates and completes required inspections for Port KC propertiesVerifies work compliance and completion and communicates issues or deficiencies to supervisorsCompletes additional training or certifications as requiredReports regularly and as needed to supervisor on Port KC propertiesCoordinates property access with third party contractors and vendorsIdentifies property issues and reports security concerns at Port KC propertiesMaintains records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment inventories Coordinates general grounds maintenance at Port KC propertiesWeekend work may be required25 - 50% local travel requiredOther duties as assigned by supervisorsWhat You Need to SucceedHigh school diploma or GEDThree plus years of general building and grounds maintenance experienceDemonstrated ability to perform basic plumbing, painting, carpentry, HVAC and electrical tasksAbility to work independently without direct supervisionKnowledge of the infrastructure and its controlsValid drivers’ license requiredUse of personal vehicle may be requiredProficiency in Microsoft SuiteKnowledge of machinery and tool usageAbility to identify and prioritize work to be performedWho You AreRelationship-focused, enthusiastic, and fun!A problem solver who likes change and innovation.Hard-working, motivated, and willing to learn.Why Port KC?At Port KC, we strive to inspire, innovate, and collaborate to achieve a common goal.
