Senior Estimator

OverviewA growing infrastructure and site development contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support complex civil construction pursuits across the Southeast. This individual will play a key role in developing competitive project pricing, coordinating preconstruction efforts, and supporting operational teams throughout the bid process.The ideal candidate has a strong background in large-scale earthwork, underground infrastructure, roadway/site packages, and civil estimating systems. This role offers long-term growth potential within a collaborative and fast-moving environment.Core ResponsibilitiesReview drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete project estimatesPrepare quantity takeoffs and pricing for civil scopes including:earthworkunderground utilitiesdrainage systemspaving/site improvementsCoordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing while ensuring full scope alignmentAnalyze project requirements, constructability considerations, and logistical challengesDevelop organized proposals and bid submissions under strict deadlinesCollaborate with operations and field leadership to support project turnover and execution planningIdentify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate alternative approaches where appropriateAssist with mentoring junior estimating or preconstruction staffDesired Background4+ years of estimating experience within heavy civil, infrastructure, roadway, or site constructionExperience pricing self-perform civil scopes preferredStrong understanding of project sequencing, production rates, and field operationsAbility to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsTechnical ExperiencePreferred experience with:Microsoft ExcelDigital takeoff platformsEarthwork modeling softwareBid management/preconstruction systemsExposure to field operations, project management, or construction supervision is considered a strong plus.Candidate ProfileWe are seeking someone who:Takes ownership of complex pursuits from start to finishWorks effectively in a fast-paced team settingCommunicates well with field teams, vendors, and leadershipHas long-term interest in leadership and operational growth opportunitiesWork EnvironmentFull-time salaried positionOffice-based collaborative environmentHigh-visibility role with direct interaction with senior leadershipLong-term advancement potential within a growing organization
