This role also plays a key part in strengthening existing client relationships and developing new, long-term partnerships with clients and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesUpon project assignment, develop and refine project specific and client-driven goals, schedules, and budgets.Assist the design team during the design phase on negotiated design-build projects by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions to maintain budget while meeting project requirements. Coordinate due diligence efforts on behalf of the client, ensuring all required documentation is maintained and delivered. Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria that align with client needs.Develop and maintain project budget, schedules, and cost control. Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path.Complete monthly project health reports and meet with management team to discuss cost and any issues on the projects.Coordinate with the Construction Technology Leader to support VDC implementation. Provide estimating assistance to preconstruction staff as needed. Track and communicate weekly project schedule updates to subcontractors and owners.Prepare and execute subcontracts and purchase orders. Monitor and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices. Develop and process monthly pay applications. Submit and review change orders while effectively communicating issues and developing resolutions.Lead weekly project meetings with all stakeholders. Review and address plan details, resolving issues proactively to prevent additional budget expenditures.Maintain continual open communication with clients, design team, Project Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery. Serve as the primary point of accountability for overall project success, including client satisfaction, financial performance, and team leadership. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring of less experienced Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.Manage and supervise Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers as required.Attend client interviews and meetings.Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for the Operations Team.Perform additional assignments at supervisor's direction.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position directly supervises Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers assigned to work on projects under their supervision. This position also supports, mentors, and trains less experienced employees to enhance their value in the organization.Travel RequirementsOccasional travel to meetings or events within 75-mile radius of office, 1 - 2 times per weekOccasional travel to various project locations requiring an overnight stay, 20-25 times per yearWhat We're Looking ForEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 10 years of project management experience in a commercial and/or industrial construction environment. Experience managing mid-to-large commercial and industrial construction projects typically $30M+ in value.Experience supporting projects within the Power & Energy, Aerospace, and/or Defense sectors is considered a strong plus but not required. Exceptional organizational, time management, and decision-making/problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with a proactive client focusSuperior oral and written communication skillsAbility to read and understand construction documentsAbility to produce quality work in an autonomous manner in an ever-changing environmentStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Vista, P6 Scheduling, Timberline Estimating, and Autodesk Build/CostAbility to operate basic office equipment including computer, printer, copier, fax, scanner, adding machine, telephone, and mobile phoneAbility to use Zoom and Microsoft Teams for virtual meetingsOSHA 30 certificationMust possess a valid, state-issued driver's license and good driving recordAbility to work Monday through Friday, at least eight hours per day, five days per week between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
