Job Overview Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Primary Care)Compensation: $110,000 $145,000/year + bonusLocation: Goldsboro, NCSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PMTAG MedStaffing is hiring a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Primary Care) in Goldsboro, NC for our client, supporting outpatient primary care, preventive medicine, and community health services. This role focuses on evaluating and treating patients across a broad primary care setting while maintaining accurate documentation and coordinating care with clinical staff and specialists. The ideal candidate will bring experience in family medicine, adult medicine, or pediatrics and be comfortable working with EMR systems in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Primary Care): Patient Care: Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in an outpatient primary care setting. Preventive Care: Deliver wellness visits, screenings, and patient education to support long-term health outcomes. Care Coordination: Refer patients to specialists and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure continuity of care. Documentation & Follow-Up: Maintain accurate medical records and review lab and diagnostic results with appropriate follow-up. Coverage Support: Participate in occasional call coverage and support patient care needs based on schedule demands. Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Primary Care): Education: Master s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program is required. Experience: At least 1 year of experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics is required. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of preventive care, ambulatory medicine, and evidence-based primary care practices is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems, clinical documentation, and standard office technology is required. Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a patient-centered environment are essential. Licensure: Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and DEA registration are required.
