Business Development Manager (BDM) - Power is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and convertingnew growth opportunitiesacross thePower Industryin North America (investor-owned utilities, IPPs, and generation fleets). This role partners tightly with the Power Corporate Account Manager (CAM) and the broader commercial organization to expand Solenis' footprint inplant utilities and wastewater programs , with emphasis onboiler/steam cycle, cooling water systems, pretreatment/RO/DM , andwastewater compliance .The BDM brings strongtechnical credibilityandconsultative sellingcapability to engage plant and corporate stakeholders, diagnose operational pain points, develop solution concepts, and lead the pursuit process from opportunity identification through trial, implementation, and fleet scale-up. Success requires cross-functional coordination across sales, technical service, labs/R&D, digital platform teams, equipment partners, and operations/supply chain to deliver measurable value and achieve growth targets.What You'll Do:Support the continued growth of Solenis by expanding market presence within your assigned region or customer base in the Power Industry.
Build relationships with new customers and identify opportunities to thoughtfully grow business while strengthening the Solenis brand.
Contribute to enhancing Solenis' market position by focusing on sustainable, longterm growth within a specific geography or set of customers.
Collaborate with the Corporate Accounts team to shape and implement sales initiatives aligned with shared growth strategies.
Help introduce new products as an important part of welcoming new customers and meeting evolving market needs.
Gather and share market insights to support marketing and technology teams in ongoing product and strategy development.
Cultivate strong, trustbased relationships with key executives and strategic customers to deepen engagement and partnership.What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)7-12+ years of experience in power generation water/chemistry programs, industrial water treatment, or technical commercial roles supporting boilers/steam, cooling, pretreatment, and/or wastewaterDemonstrated technical capability designing, troubleshooting, and proving performance inboiler/steam, cooling, and wastewaterapplicationsStrong consultative selling skills with ability to translate technical outcomes into business valueAbility to coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, technical service, lab, digital, operations/logistics, supply chain)Willingness to travel frequently (often50%+ , depending on territory/fleet footprintValid Driver's LicensePerks!
