Travel OR Nurse (RN) | Wray, Colorado

Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Deliver essential perioperative nursing care in a dynamic surgical environment, supporting patients through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. This travel opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in operating room procedures who are ready to make a difference in a community hospital setting.Location Details: Situated in Wray, Colorado, this role offers a unique small-town experience with access to scenic landscapes and outdoor recreational activities. Wray provides a welcoming community atmosphere and a slower pace of life while maintaining modern healthcare facilities.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the surgical process including preop, intraop, and postop phases.Assist with a variety of procedures including orthopedics (excluding spine), ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, general surgery (appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bowel surgery, hernia repair), cesarean sections, ENT procedures, colonoscopies, and EGDs.Operate and support advanced surgical equipment such as Da Vinci and Mako robotic systems.Respond to call duties one day per week from 5pm to 6am and approximately one 24-hour weekend call per month.Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols and standards.Qualifications and Experience:Current RN license with experience in Operating Room nursing.Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.Proven proficiency with robotic surgery technologies.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in orthopedic surgeries, abdominal procedures, and general surgery.Schedule:Shifts generally run from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.Call requirements include weekday evening calls and 24-hour weekend calls.This travel assignment offers an exciting chance to advance clinical skills in diverse surgical cases while experiencing life in a vibrant rural Colorado community.
