AR Specialist

Position OverviewOur client is a growing multi-division electrical and utility contractor committed to financial clarity, operational discipline, and scalable growth.We are seeking a Treasury & Accounting Specialist who will play a critical role in billing, collections, and cash visibility, while also supporting treasury and technical accounting functions across multiple entities.This position reports to the Controller and is essential to maintaining strong cash flow and accurate financial records.Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Accounts Receivable Execute weekly invoicing across all companiesEnsure invoices are sent accurately and on time—no lagActively manage and work aged receivables (30/60/90+)Proactively follow up with customers via phone and emailMaintain visibility into outstanding balances and collection statusCash & TreasuryPerform monthly bank reconciliationsEnsure all bank activity is recorded accuratelyMaintain loan schedulesRecord loan interest and principal paymentsSupport cash tracking and visibility across entitiesAccruals & Expense AccountingPrepare monthly accrual entriesReview and reverse prior accrualsEnsure accurate expense cutoffFixed AssetsReview capital expenditures for proper classificationMaintain fixed asset schedulesRecord depreciation and disposalsIntercompany & Close SupportReconcile and prepare intercompany journal entriesReconcile assigned balance sheet accountsAssist in the monthly close processMaintain organized documentationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)2–5 years of accounting or AR experienceExperience with multi-entity environments preferredConstruction or project-based accounting a plusStrong Excel skillsERP experience (Foundation preferred)What We’re Looking ForStrong sense of urgency and ownership, especially around billing and collectionsComfortable making collection calls and following up directly with customersDetail-oriented with a strong reconciliation mindsetOrganized and able to manage multiple responsibilities across entitiesTakes initiative and follows through without constant directionComfortable working in a growing and evolving organization
