Accounting Consultant (Manager Level)

Job Title: Accounting Manager / Accounting ConsultantJob Type: Full-time / RemoteWork Hours: PSTJob Overview:We’re helping our client find an Accounting Manager / Accounting Consultant to support and stabilize core accounting operations during a period of operational transition.In this role, you will lead month-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting while helping improve accounting processes, documentation, and operational efficiency across the finance function.Responsibilities:Lead and support month-end and year-end close processesPrepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedulesEnsure financial records are accurate, organized, and completed on timeReview accounting workflows and identify opportunities for process improvementDocument and standardize accounting procedures and operational processesPartner closely with AP, AR, payroll, and finance stakeholdersAssist with audit preparation and reporting requestsSupport ongoing finance infrastructure and operational improvementsMaintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentRequirements:Proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or Accounting ConsultantStrong hands-on experience with month-end close processesExperience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedulesSolid understanding of AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting operationsExperience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft DynamicsAdvanced Excel or Google Sheets skillsStrong process-oriented mindset with high attention to detailAbility to work independently and adapt within changing environmentsStrong communication and organizational skillsNice-to-Have:Experience in eCommerce or high-growth environmentsPrior consulting, transition, or stabilization experienceExperience improving or standardizing accounting processesAudit support or financial reporting exposureFamiliarity with tools like Slack, Asana, ClickUp, Jira, Notion, or Confluence
