We bring our products to life using 3D software to demonstrate to our customers real-life representations which have aided in our focus to provide superior customer focus and service.The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for creating equipment drawings and design concepts with guidance from senior engineering staff. The Mechanical Engineer will also create and publish technical documentation and manuals for equipment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform routine design changes and improvements to rotating equipment. Specifically, assignments or projects with axillary equipment including controllers, oilers, and electrical systemsDesign robust and cost-effective improvements of assigned products with an emphasis on engineering, problem solving, customer needs, and situational climateDevelop specific engineered solutions for customer projectsWrite and edit technical manuals including coordinating with stakeholders to obtain appropriate documentationCost reduction leadership (interacts with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering) to reduce costsImplement best practices for design, drafting, manufacturing, and salesRequired QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering3+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering or design engineering roleDemonstrated skills in mechanical design with a knowledge of mechanical systems and principlesExperience with drafting software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk InventorKnowledge of stress analysis and materials selectionA familiarity with a wide variety of fabrication, machining, and manufacturing methodsUnderstanding of streamlining engineering processes, implementing products, and process improvementsAbility to travel domestically on occasionAbility to lift parts with or without assistance up to 30lbsEqual Opportunity Statement: Komline is an EEO employer – M/F/Vets/Disabled
