Lockbox Remittance Specialist

Position SummaryThe Lockbox Remittance Specialist handles the servicing of all lockbox clients. You would be expected to maintain a high level of production and accuracy while preparing customers mailed in paper checks for deposit.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPayment Preparations and ProcessingSort incoming mail into correct customer bin.Prepare batches of work by removing payments and forms from envelopesProcess all lockbox deposits from direct and indirect customers.Quality Assurance Processing MeasuresFollow standard operating procedures and customer specific instructions through data entry.Verifying checks through customer specific instructions for processingBalance/reconcile electronic and paper documentation.Analyze information to determine accuracy and completeness of work.Conduct non-routine research.Operate high-speed imaging/ extraction Opex equipment.Re-associate check images to corresponding material while validating quality of images.Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality of customer account information; follow established policies and procedures as related to internal audits and security.Team Support:Lend help to immediate team/team members, as needed.Education & ExperienceKnowledge of:Strong oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsKeen sense of quality control and practicesAttention to detail and focus on meeting deadlines.Ability to:Analyze and comprehend client's standard operating procedures and instructionsComplete multiple manual tasks per transaction and/or client with precisionAbility to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of timeBe a team player and maintain a positive attitude at all timesMake judgment calls regarding routine duties but refer non-routine situations to a supervisor and/or managerBenefits and CompensationSalary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends.
