Team members are able to apply specific skills sets to these departments and provide additional resources as needs are identified. The team is a valuable resource for the entire neonatal hospital system. Our nursing care team consists of registered nurses, clinical support associates and unit operations coordinators. RNs hired into this area would support our Special Care Nursery, Infant Care Center and Neonatal Intensive Care units. The neonatal float team offers the flexibility of working in different units while learning new skills every day. We value teamwork, open communication, safety and respect. Our family-centered focus strives to consider social, economic and cultural diversity - living our core value of putting "Kids First."Position SummaryCoordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION.Education Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current Minnesota RN licensure.Current BLS certification.One (1) year nursing experience in a hospital setting. Pediatric experience preferred.Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment.Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required or obtained during orientation.Physical DemandsPlease click here to view the Physical DemandsThe posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
