Expected compensation: 91.85 USD Per HourHireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs to lead next-generation robotaxi hardware programs from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT and production ramp.In this role, you'll partner with hardware, software, firmware, systems, functional safety, procurement, vehicle development, and external contract manufacturers to drive program execution. You'll develop schedules and milestones, coordinate dependencies, manage risks, and provide clear visibility into program progress across engineering teams and leadership.The ideal candidate is an experienced hardware technical program manager with a strong engineering background and demonstrated success leading complex hardware programs through the full product development lifecycle. You are proactive, highly organized, and comfortable driving cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers in a fast-paced development environment.As a Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs, you'll:Own end-to-end program execution for next-generation robotaxi hardware, from concept and architecture through EVT/DVT/PVT builds and production ramp. Translate company strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional dependencies. Coordinate across hardware, software, firmware, functional safety, systems, procurement, and vehicle development teams to align priorities and deliverables. Partner with external contract manufacturers to plan and execute prototype and engineering builds, incorporate DFM/DFT feedback, and prepare programs for production ramp. Identify program risks and issues early, drive mitigation and resolution, and communicate program status, progress, and key decisions to cross-functional teams and leadership. Facilitate program reviews and decision-making to remove bottlenecks and maintain alignment across engineering, finance, strategy, and manufacturing stakeholders. RequirementsA bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience6+ years of hardware technical program management or engineering program management experienceDemonstrated end-to-end hardware development experience taking products from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT and production rampExperience working with external contract manufacturers through development builds and production rampExperience leading cross-functional programs involving hardware, software, firmware, functional safety, and systems engineeringStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate program progress, risks, and priorities to engineering teams and leadershipProficiency with program management tools such as Jira and Gantt chartsAbility to operate effectively through rapid development cycles and remain flexible in ambiguous or changing environmentsProactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solvingStrong preference for end-to-end product development experience within the automotive or consumer electronics industry at the system or subsystem levelPreferred QualificationsExperience directly managing 2+ full development cycles for systems involving hardware and software integrationA master's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineeringTechnical program management experience supporting production programs during mass production and post-production sustaining phasesDemonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholdersBenefitsPre-tax commuter benefits Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costsHireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance401k packageCommitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt.
