This contract opportunity in Marietta, GA, is designed for a clinical dietitian passionate about providing expert nutritional care in an inpatient setting. The role demands a hands-on approach to nutrition screening, assessment, counseling, and metabolic monitoring, ensuring patients receive personalized, evidence-based interventions that improve health outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Conduct initial nutrition assessments following departmental policies.Develop and implement nutrition care plans tailored to individual patient needs.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Medical Nutrition Therapy interventions.Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams to assess malnutrition risk or severity.Assess food security status and connect patients with appropriate resources.Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.Deliver culturally sensitive nutrition education to patients and their families.Attend interdisciplinary rounds or meetings as assigned.Manage parenteral nutrition support.Engage in journal clubs, education sessions, and quality improvement projects.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from an accredited institution.Master's degree required if credentialed as a dietitian after January 1, 2024.Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.Licensed by Georgia's State Board of Licensed Dietitians.Schedule:Monday to Friday, with start times between 7:00 and 8:30 AM and end times between 3:30 and 5:00 PM.Workday totals 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch break.Rotating weekends approximately every 3-4 weeks, with a weekday off during that week.About Marietta, GA: Marietta offers a vibrant blend of Southern charm and modern living.
