Details Progressive care unit (PCU) within a hospital setting, department 7D/1B Telemetry and progressive care patient population in an 18 bed unit 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week) Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required Epic EMR experience is preferred Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an 18 bed telemetry/progressive care unit required Required certifications: BLS and ACLS — must be issued by the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross NIHSS certification preferred ADN or ASN degree required At least one completed 13-week travel assignment required Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment English proficiency (speak, read, write) required Additional Information Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care throughout each shift Coordinates care through collaboration with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team Administers medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols Assumes clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel A Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test must be passed on-site before beginning the assignment; one retest is permitted upon failure — a second failure will result in contract termination Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Former permanent employees of the health system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-683770.
