The company values strong leadership, safety, teamwork, and employee wellbeing while continuing to invest in operational growth and process improvement initiatives throughout the facility.POSITION SUMMARYReporting directly to plant leadership, the Occupational Health & Safety Officer will oversee all workplace health, safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives within the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that promote regulatory compliance, minimize workplace risks, and foster a strong culture of safety throughout the organization. The Occupational Health & Safety Officer will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, human resources, and production leadership to support safe work practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong OSHA knowledge, manufacturing safety experience, and a hands-on leadership approach within a fast paced production environment.SAFETY & COMPLIANCE LEADERSHIPLead all workplace safety initiatives for the manufacturing facilityDevelop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and proceduresEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable federal, state, and local safety standardsOversee Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and related compliance effortsConduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsIdentify hazards and implement corrective and preventative actionsMaintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reportingINCIDENT INVESTIGATION & RISK MANAGEMENTInvestigate workplace accidents, incidents, injuries, and near missesConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action plansMonitor workplace trends and safety performance metricsAssist with workers' compensation and return to work coordination as neededSupport emergency preparedness and response planningTRAINING & EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENTDevelop and facilitate employee safety training programsPromote a culture of safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvementPartner with supervisors and managers to reinforce safe work practicesProvide coaching and guidance regarding workplace safety expectationsAssist with new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee educationOPERATIONS & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTCollaborate with operations and maintenance teams regarding equipment safety and process improvementsParticipate in process hazard analyses and safety reviewsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and operational efficiencyStay current on emerging safety regulations, best practices, and industry trendsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field preferred5+ years of safety experience within a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standardsExperience with Process Safety Management (PSM) strongly preferredProfessional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferredExperience conducting safety audits, investigations, and employee trainingStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively across all levels of the organizationKEY COMPETENCIESStrong leadership presence and employee engagement skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesHigh attention to detail and regulatory complianceStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to balance strategic initiatives with hands on plant floor involvementProactive, organized, and self-motivatedQUESTIONS?Reach out to us!Send an email to Talent@HRConsulting.llcFollow us on Facebook and LinkedIN for future job postingsOur client and HR Consulting Solutions LLC are Equal Opportunity Employers.
