This opportunity is for physicians who want to practice independently while receiving structured operational support for the non-clinical business functions of their own practice. No prior business ownership experience is required.OverviewThis posting is for physicians interested in establishing or transitioning into an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO's administrative infrastructure. Physicians own and operate the practice entity, while MedCBO provides non-clinical business and operational support services.This is not an employed physician position. Physicians may establish or transition a practice in a preferred market, subject to state licensure and applicable regulatory requirements. The physician governs clinical operations, clinical decisions, and sets patient care policies. MedCBO does not direct patient care.About MedCBOMedCBO is a healthcare administrative services organization that supports physicians in operating independent medical practices across multiple U.S. markets. MedCBO's service model is structured to align with corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) principles. Physicians maintain ownership and clinical control of their medical entity while MedCBO provides non-clinical administrative and operational support.MedCBO provides non-clinical services, including:Revenue cycle management, coding, and payer contracting supportEHR, technology platform, telehealth, and clinical workflow systemsCredentialing, enrollments, and facility privileging coordinationAccounting, financial reporting, and practice financial infrastructureHR administration, staffing workflows, and compliance supportSupply chain and vendor coordinationPhysicians retain full clinical authority, decision-making, and ownership of the medical practice. Final legal structure and regulatory compliance depend on the specific state and are established in coordination with licensed legal counsel.Opportunity DescriptionWe work with physicians seeking to:Start a new private practiceTransition from employment to ownershipConvert an existing practice to a supported modelRelocate and establish a practice in a new marketMedCBO supports administrative and operational functions while the physician independently operates the medical practice.Physician ResponsibilitiesProvide care within the physician's specialty scopeDevelop professional relationships within the medical communityMedCBO coordinates payer credentialing with physician participation as requiredDetermine clinical services offeredManage clinical quality and patient experienceAdministrative Support Provided by MedCBOPractice formation coordinationBilling and collections managementPayer contract negotiationFinancial infrastructure and reportingOperational workflows and staffing systemsTechnology platform and implementationRequirementsMD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practiceBoard Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services providedEligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicableAbility to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market ratesNo current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practiceInterest in the independent practice modelPreferredDesire for practice ownershipCommunity-based care interestLeadership or program development interestLocationMultiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural).
